Biography
Professor Garcia is an acclaimed molecular biologist whose research focuses on gene editing technologies and their applications in treating genetic disorders. He conducted his postdoctoral work at Stanford University before establishing his lab at Columbia, which has received continuous NIH funding for the past decade. His recent work on CRISPR applications in treating cystic fibrosis has been highlighted as a major breakthrough in the field.
