Frank George Harris

Biography
Professor Harris is a theoretical physicist whose work on string theory and quantum gravity has influenced the field for over two decades. He completed his doctoral studies at Caltech under Nobel laureate Richard Feynman before joining the faculty at Columbia. His ability to explain complex physics concepts through intuitive analogies makes him one of the most popular professors in the department. Professor Harris has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers and his textbook 'Fundamentals of Modern Physics' is used at universities worldwide. He leads Columbia's Theoretical Physics Research Group and has been invited as a keynote speaker at major international physics conferences.
