Biography
Dr. Khan is a renowned organic chemist whose research focuses on developing sustainable catalysts for pharmaceutical applications. After earning her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for five years developing green chemistry initiatives at Merck. Her laboratory at Columbia has pioneered several environmentally friendly synthetic methods that have been adopted by pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Dr. Khan is passionate about undergraduate education and has redesigned the organic chemistry curriculum to incorporate modern techniques and sustainability principles.
